Compelling storytelling plays an important role in advocacy, giving life to data to help decision-makers prioritize tangible policy changes. Through the "I-45 Expansion Impacts Storytelling Project," LINK Houston, Stop TxDOT I-45, and other partners seek to lift community voices and highlight the rich cultural heritage at risk for displacement in neighborhoods along the proposed North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP). The personal stories of people living alongside the highway expansion project corridor give us a glimpse of the real human and emotional connections and the potential impacts of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) $7 billion infrastructure project.
